As an assistant professor, comics historian and scholar, and fan, I am fascinated for all Superman represents and how, over the course of 80+ years, has not wavered as a character or symbol. While I work towards my dissertation on Superman and his development in comics and media, The Smallville Project is a place for me to gather my thoughts on specific comic books, films, and key television episodes. I'll post some of my interviews with creators as I go.

In short, having fellow Super-fans along for the ride promises to keep me engaged through this long study.
